 Bad Prog Album Covers
I am the kind of guy who looks at allot of albums cause of their covers....isn't that what they are there for?
Here post images of covers that would do anything but make you want to buy them.
As a start we have
A guy running through the woods in a Wife-Beater....not to mention the motion blur...
What I heard of it actually sounds good though...
More where this came from...I'll think of them...

I am donating this one soon... Despite the terrible Pixelated Cover...the Graphic Designer should be Ashamed cause...What year was this released? A. 1988 B. 1991 or C. 1998

I Can't Believe I forgot Tales of Imperfection.
I"m looking for this one I found...that was bad 3D art but not Bryce...it looked too old for 2005
But for now.
http://www.progulus.com/pictures/enchant-blue.jpg
Once I saw it up close I had to shake my head...looks like something out of an old game like SIM city...And the Gradient logo is pretty bad too.

Here the Heart is fine...The Paintbrush...NO!
Guys....Stick to PAINTINGS not 3D think of what all these modern covers will look like in 10 years since they are all Digital.

I think that might be a nail with a drop of blood coming off it...
Either way it is pretty bad. I too prefer paintings to CG stuff, I think the Ayreon covers are wonderful.

If it is a nail that's worse cause the blood looks so solid.

What a nice photo... But people with Windows may know why this fails so hard.
IT'S A MUGGAFUGGIN SAMPLE PICTURE!!! IT COMES WITH ALL COMPUTERS!!!
Saddest fact is, this isn't their first album....I've known this one for a while but just now remembered.[/quote]

 3D . . .
Bryce, those were the days . . .
Now, there are many Artist that still use the traditional Mediums as well as Digital "Paint"
to create wonderous Images, but 3D has come a VERY long way and their are some
talented and VERY creative people out there!:
http://www.ballisticpublishing.com/books/machine_phase/
I'm seeing more and more Album covers use them as well. I think people forget about
all the 3D stuff in movies because it all looks soo real, sometimes too perfect.
And yes, Thats a "Nail" (Enchant)
Don't forget that "Ice Age" album!
Heres some Examples:
http://www.optitex.com/images/general/Daz3sidebyside.jpg
(a fave of mine)
http://www.androidblues.com/gallery/Trapper.jpg
Insane 3D!:
http://www.3dartspace.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=blogsection&id=1&Itemid=87
Digital and Traditional:
http://www.deviantart.com/#order=9&q=3D+paintings
Cool stuff, As far as 3D digital Images, I wish my "Brain" could wrap around it, but its all "Math"
to me, I'll stick to Painting on Photoshop
